The Bichon Frise, also known like Bichon de Tenerife, is a small race of dogs and company, notable by its white and spongy coat. It is characterized for being a glad, active and untiring dog.

The Bichon Frise is a dog of European, descending origin of the Barbet or Water Spaniel. The name “Bichon” is at the moment the diminutive of “Barbichon” that is the diminutive of “Barbet as well”.

Esteem that this race is of French origin, although also is very possible that it is of Spanish origin, of the area of the Mediterranean.
