One says that the origin of the Japanese Spitz is a white German Spitz of great size, brought to Japan around year 1920 through continent of Siberia and the northeast part of China. Over there of year 1921, the race was exhibited for the first time in a canine exhibition in Tokyo.
Later, in 1925, two white pairs of Spitz of Canada were concerned and until almost year 1936 the imports of unit came from Canada, the United States, Australia and China. With time, their lineages were crossed to produce one better race. After World War II, the Japan Kennel Club established the unified standard of the race, that is the valid one at the moment.
